BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The Downtown Art Gallery announces its October spotlight artist Linda Krupp. She has been painting for 30 years. Krupp is known for their traditional oil paintings with an eye for detail.

Krupp is also a master of palette knife painting with its wide range of colors and textures.

Krupp is currently experimenting with encaustic painting, an old technique that combines beeswax, damar lacquer and color pigments. Heat is used to melt or burn the colors onto the painting surface.

Krupp divides her time between Titusville and Asheville, North Carolina. These diverse areas inspire her art with subjects ranging from tropical scenes and marine life to landscapes that reflect her rural North Carolina heritage, complete with rustic barns and farm animals.

Krupp has an excellent background as an educator with a doctorate in educational leadership. She taught at Merritt Island High and then worked in faculty development at Brevard Community College. (Linda Krupp picture)
