In season 10, Teresa didn’t have the best of character when she befriended Danielle Staub and invited her to gatherings where the other ladies clearly didn’t want her around. It came to a head (literally) when Danielle pulled Margaret Joseph’s ponytail after a fight. The attack involved security and caused Margaret a great deal of pain.
At the end of the season, everyone was upset when Danielle admitted it was Teresa who told her to pull Marg’s hair. In front of all the women, Melissa told the group what she had heard and Teresa had no way out. She looked into the cameras, gave them her finger, and threw her cup at them. Melissa even made a comment that the production would leave this entire scene because it was the background of the plot.
9 Bravo, Bravo, Fu ** ing Bravo (RHOBH)
Denise Richards knew exactly what she was doing when she repeated the words “Bravo, Bravo, Bravo” at a dinner party. While fans were confused as to why Denise’s random breakout was, the producers knew what was going on: she broke through the fourth wall. Denise hoped that by repeating the word “bravo” the producers couldn’t use the scene they were filming.
Denise didn’t want what they were talking about so she tried to ruin the attitude. But leave it up to the producers and editors at Bravo to use the take anyway to prove how much effort Denise went to to save herself from the scene.
8th Eva couldn’t speak if NeNe had a microphone (RHOA)
In season 11, the ladies find out that Eva faced quite significant financial problems and lied about her lifestyle. Unfortunately, NeNe and Tanya found out about Marlo, who found out about it from Eva’s bridesmaid. Everyone felt terrible for Eva that their bridesmaid spread the news, so Tanya confronted Eva. That was a big no, because they wanted NeNe to tell Eva the news – not Tanya. When NeNe called Eva to straighten things out, Eva broke through the fourth wall and told her she wouldn’t talk about it while the cameras were on and NeNe was miking.
7th Gizelle was talking to the cameras when Katie left (RHOP)
When RHOP While traveling to the Cayman Islands for a girls’ getaway, Katie decided to leave early without telling anyone. The entire cast was concerned, but Gizelle and Robyn took it into their own hands and wanted to file a missing person report at the front desk. Gizelle broke through the fourth wall and was heard saying, “Can you be in front of the camera?”
At that moment the camera crew can be seen and a producer realizes that they have found Katie. The crew knew where Katie was going but couldn’t tell the ladies until it became clear they were going to file a complaint.

After Denise’s “Bravo, Bravo, fucking Bravo” stunt, the fourth wall was broken once more when the ladies were in Italy. At dinner, Denise planned to say everything she had to say about the Brandi Glanville rumor and move on. Instead of listening to what the ladies had to say, Denise left dinner and tried to go home. Production started talking to Denise – breaking the fourth wall – and encouraging her to go back inside and listen to the ladies. She was on a reality TV show and that was her job.
5 Luann really didn’t want it to be about Tom (RHONY)
Luann’s relationship with Tom was anything but smooth. They were perfect when alone, but problems arose the moment they were apart.
During this time, Bethenny and Lu weren’t the closest, but Bethenny had incriminating evidence against Luann’s fiancé – he was cheating on her. It was evident that Lu didn’t want it to be shown on camera because she begged Bethenny not to tell. When it was time to call Tom and get to the bottom of it, she yelled at production and told them to get “them” out of the way.
4th When Brandi was skinny dipping (RHOD)
When the ladies from Dallas traveled to Denmark to help Cary meet more of their Danish family members, LeeAnne and Brandi were still preoccupied with the insults. They tried to lay down their guns to enjoy the day, but things changed when Brandi took a thin dive in the Baltic Sea. LeeAnne pulled out her cell phone and started filming Brandi, which irritated her because she was topless. She didn’t want her chest splashing from the internet. In a confessional, Kameron challenged Brandi and broke the fourth wall by mentioning that she was filming a reality TV show, so her chest would be on camera anyway.

Ramona told production to cut it and stop the show if the cameras continued. It seems like Ramona didn’t want this kind of behavior to go down at her party …
