“Kira and Logan in the Morning” on 97.5 WOKQ is here

Oh my god, that took a long time! We tease the “7. March” for weeks and the day is finally here: our brand new morning show “Kira and Logan in the Morning” on 97.5 WOKQ.

The story of how Logan came into my life is crazy! It was his tenacity and perseverance, coupled with a pinch of luck, that got him the job.

We made this funny video to illustrate the day we met. Listen:

Of course we both have different versions of the story. You can look at my version and Logan’s version and decide which one you believe.

If you’re new to WOKQ or haven’t listened in a while, hello/welcome back! I’m Kira and I’ve been hosting the morning show on WOKQ for five years. My goodness, how time flies!

I was born in Leominster, MA, home of Johnny Appleseed (yes, he was a real guy) and the plastic pink flamingos that some people stick in their lawns were invented in my town too (not to brag). Having grown up in community theater all my life, I couldn’t imagine having a job where I couldn’t be myself.

Luckily I’ve found radio, a career where my weirdness is encouraged and celebrated. In my free time I enjoy exploring the great outdoors that New England has to offer. I love hiking, I’m learning to ski (which isn’t pretty), and I love visiting new restaurants and breweries with my husband, who you might consider my friend on the air.

We like to keep things flirty, fresh and fun.

Logan was born in Newburyport, Massachusetts and now resides in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. For him, the Granite State is his playground, gym and therapist. He loves camping and enjoys everything the state has to offer, from the White Mountains to the coast. He especially loves hiking and spending time with his dogs and fiancé. Oh, and he loves craft beers (definitely IPAs).

The new show will keep all the segments you’ve come to know and love: The Good Stuff, Famous People 411, Second Date Update and Kan’t Beat Kira. And of course we will continue to provide you with concert tickets to the biggest country shows in New Hampshire.

I can’t wait to learn more about the Log Man with you every weekday morning from 5:30am to 10:00am

Kira and Logan in the Morning is going to be so fresh and fun, and we hope you’ll join us.

Listen live here.
