Frank Gebauer becomes the new managing director of Lunch Vegaz GmbH – vegconomist
Having lunch, a company that produces healthy, plant-based organic fresh meals under the Planet V brand, announces the appointment of Frank Gebauer as the new General Manager for Sales, Marketing and Finance with 20 years of experience as General Manager in the food industry. Together with founder Govinda Thaler, he will strategically develop and expand the company.

Planet V cooks its vegan convenience foods by hand with organic ingredients and has already established itself as a reliable producer of high-quality ready-made meals for the food retail and catering trade with over 2.5 million dishes delivered. Thanks to an innovative technological process, they also do not require any preservatives, stabilizers or pasteurization, so that the meals are both nutritious and beneficial for health and well-being.
“With the expertise of Frank Gebauer, we are now setting the course for a fundamental structural reform of Lunch Vegaz and Planet V. Our goal is to achieve a social impact as a company by making healthy and sustainable organic food available to as many people as possible make it possible, ”explains Govinda Thaler, who founded the company in 2015.
Strategically, the company is now moving up a gear with the appointment of Gebauer. The business areas of food retail, food service, specialist trade, e-commerce, export and contract production are to be further expanded in order to clearly consolidate the position as leader and first mover in the fresh convenience segment. The construction of a new production facility in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is already being planned and should begin before the end of 2021.

But hardly any kitchen can meet the diverse requirements – Planet V offers the solution as a partner and supplier. “
Gebauer also sees great growth potential for the company and the brand in the food retail and organic specialist trade. “Ready meals are often associated with ‘unhealthy and bland’. We refute this prejudice with refined, healthy and creative dishes that also meet the population’s growing desire for sustainable consumption, ”Gebauer continues.
Where will Lunch Vegaz and the Planet V brand be in five years? Gebauer and Thaler agree: “We believe that the world would be a better place if healthy and sustainable nutrition were a daily pleasure. That is why we want to develop even more creative products in the future and establish them as the first choice for communal catering and private households – so that the name Planet V will become synonymous with delicious, vegan organic dishes in a few years. “
